Songs, Books & Animals is our eighth single since this adventure called Albor Sereno began.
This track captures the warm and simple atmosphere of everyday things—those that faithfully accompany us day after day. Things whose lyrics strengthen the ideas needed to continue creating. Things whose pages deeply inspire us.
Things that offer affection and comfort when darkness approaches, whispering that it wishes to capture us.
Songs, Books & Animals is a heartfelt tribute to the songs that are always with us (Joy Division, The Cure, Balmorhea, Hammock, Motorama, among others), to books whose authors (Camus, Hesse, Wilde, Borges, Neruda, and more) have inspired our project from the beginning, and especially to those beloved animals—our pets—who, with their non-human gaze, offer us understanding and help shape the natural landscapes that inhabit this single and the entire universe of Albor Sereno.
But we also wish to honor the other animals: those unjustly trapped in cruel captivity, those suffering in inhumane farms, or those witnessing their habitats destroyed by human actions.
This reflection forms an essential part of our single, reminding us of the urgent need to reconnect and live harmoniously with nature.
Ultimately, Songs, Books & Animals is an invitation to never forget what truly matters: those small, everyday things that nourish our souls and allow us to live peacefully.
